The picture below speaks of the root of root corruption. It was sketched approximately forty years ago, subsequent to my experience with corruption. This incident led to my departure from laboratory work and a period of self-directed inquiry focused on understanding the underlying causes of corruption.
The figure suggests that the “Root of Corruption,” encompassing issues such as “Black Money” and general sources of societal ills, may originate within Religious and Spiritual institutions. These institutions, while purportedly serving humanity and acting in the name of faith, can foster division. Some religious leaders, despite preaching piety, are perceived as prioritizing material wealth and engaging in hypocrisy. Notably, Christianity is presented as a prominent example.
The religious institutions are the vital links between the Unseen Spiritual and the Seen Physical World and play an important role in society. What happens in the Unseen Spiritual is reflected in the physical. When people in spiritual institutions become hypocritical and money-centered, the whole world becomes hypocritical and money-centered. I believe the world where individuals, cheat, loot, kill and do all things against one’s consciousness for little money, land and work to establish their power and control over others has its roots in religious institutions. To cut it short, an evil mindset that killed Jesus to protect its control over people still rules the world. In the Bible, Jesus calls it the “Ruler of the World.”
Science has explored the interface between the physical and the metaphysical, yet a comprehensive understanding remains elusive. Contemporary theoretical physics increasingly leverages Artificial Intelligence as a tool to address complex questions and paradoxes, potentially facilitating humanity’s pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment. We stand at a critical juncture. Historical precedent suggests that significant scientific advancements have often been exploited for detrimental purposes by those in positions of power. This raises a crucial concern as humanity progresses further into the Artificial Intelligence Era. Nevertheless, optimism persists, grounded in the belief that benevolent forces will ultimately prevail.
The presented concept necessitates visualization from a holistic human perspective, acknowledging the existence of a vital dimension underlying the physical. This understanding can be derived from the observation that life encompasses both an external world, mediated by the mind and body and an internal vital world, possessing its own distinct mental faculty, namely the ‘Mind of the Heart‘. The Mind of the Body facilitates interaction between external space bringing information through five sensory organs. In contrast ‘Mind of the Heart’ is connected to ‘INNER SPACE‘ via its corresponding sensory apparatus. Contemporary Western thought often neglects the significance of this inner space, leading to potentially consequential errors in judgment and practice.
In India, a common adage states, “As the King, so are the people.” The image presented suggests, the presence of established religious institutions, existing above the ruling institutions.. These institutions and their leaders bear a significant responsibility to facilitate individuals’ connection to their inner consciousness or spiritual understanding, encouraging introspection and adherence to principles of love, truth, and justice. When these institutions falter in their ethical obligations, societal decline ensues. Regrettably, some within spiritual institutions profess devotion to higher ideals while leading lives characterized by hypocrisy, materialism, and self-centeredness. They benefit from the labour and suffering of others. Conversely, figures like Jesus offered self-sacrifice to inspire spiritual awakening and renewal.
The concept of ‘Inner Space‘ holds significant importance as the origin from which Sound and Voice emanate, underpinned by Light and Force. Contemporary scientific understanding posits that Sound possesses Energy capable of conversion into Light Energy. This notion resonates with the biblical account in Genesis 1:3, where the creation of light is attributed to a divine utterance: “Let there be light.” This passage suggests a divine origin for light. Similarly, John 1:1-5 states, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him, nothing was made that has been made,” further emphasizing the creative power associated with the divine Word.
We live in a world that is conditioned to listen to the Voices coming from outside. We fail to listen to the ‘Inner Voice.’ The Ancient Spiritualists who were truly aligned with Light and Life knew it, and thus called us to ‘Listen to the Inner Voice.’
The concept of an “Inner Voice” can be understood as originating from a realm that underpins our physical existence. This realm may be characterized by opposing forces: a “Spirit of Light and Life” and a “Spirit of Darkness and Death.” Religious texts suggest that corruption originates from this inner world, emphasizing the importance of discerning these spiritual influences. Humanity is seemingly caught in a cycle of corruption, a phenomenon explored by Richard Dawkins in his book “The Selfish Gene.” Even devout individuals can be susceptible to material temptations. The teachings of Christ prioritize seeking spiritual fulfilment (“the Kingdom of God and its Righteousness”). Furthermore, the apostle Peter, in 2 Peter 2, addresses the condition of humanity as being influenced by religious institutions.
Currently, self-centeredness, materialism, and greed appear to be prevalent. Society seems caught in a negative cycle, potentially driven by unethical influences in positions of power. These influences may obscure factual information and hinder the widespread understanding of a spiritual perspective, such as the concept of inherent divinity and universal interconnectedness. Furthermore, religiously motivated divisions may stem from harmful influences rather than authentic spiritual differences.
Throughout history, individuals of strong moral character, possessing enlightened perspectives and dedicated to positive values, have consistently been present. These individuals have preserved hope and vitality. However, given our current position within a temporal cycle trending towards a singular point of negative influence, their efforts to overcome prevailing negativity have been constrained. Their collective impact has been insufficient to effect a significant systemic transformation from negativity to positivity, mortality to vitality, or lack of understanding to comprehensive knowledge.
Authentic spirituality necessitates attuning to the inner voice, reflecting our inherent connection to the Divine Image and the presence of a Divine Spark within each individual. It requires discerning spiritual truths amidst the influences of the physical world and its inherent forces. Central to this pursuit is the realization of our intrinsic unity within the Divine. However, undue reliance on external voices can lead to fragmentation, resulting in the proliferation of diverse religions and deities, and ultimately, spiritual subjugation. We must underline that ‘Being Created in His Image‘ means “God exist Within and Between”
Contemporary science focuses on eliminating background noise to facilitate the reception of signals from outer space. However, this approach often neglects the importance of Inner Space, which Eastern sages historically sought to explore and connect with, believing it held the key to enlightenment, vitality, and the vanquishment of ignorance.
Darkness possesses power and influence. This influence is divinely ordained; therefore, divine intervention in the person of Jesus Christ became necessary to redeem the Kingdom. The Spirit of Christ remains and represents the sole hope for humanity, currently experiencing a crescendo of darkness, ignorance, disorder, and destruction.
